Color Pipette

An eyedropper for real life and photos — draw out any color and its codes.

An eyedropper for everything you see

A classic pipette lifts one color from one point. Color Identifier brings that color pipette idea to your iPhone and stretches it past the screen: tap a precise spot in a photo to draw out its color, or point Live Camera at a real object and lift the color straight off the surface.

How the pipette works

  1. Open Color Identifier and choose From Photo or Live Camera.
  2. Tap the exact point in your image, or aim at the object.
  3. The color pipette lifts that color on the spot.
  4. Read the Hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone codes.

Pipette both worlds

Keep what you lift

Every color the color pipette draws can be saved into a palette, so a quick sample becomes part of a reusable set. Organize palettes by project and export or share so the exact values reach your design and print tools. It’s free to download, with your first scans free, so you can lift your next color today.

Frequently asked questions

What is a color pipette?

It's an eyedropper tool that draws the color from a single point. In Color Identifier, tap a spot in a photo or point at a real object to lift that color as codes.

Does the pipette work on real objects?

Yes. Live Camera acts like a pipette on the physical world — aim at a surface and it reads the color live.

What codes does the pipette give?

Each pick returns the color name plus Hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone, ready to save and share.
